Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Joyce Russell Kente Awards and Scholarship Ceremony! We look forward to establishing new partnerships and continuing existing ones that will improve the academic successes and financial futures of our students.

Our 2024 ceremony promises to be bigger and better. On April 4, 23 years since the first ceremony, we will have the pleasure of presenting outstanding students with academic scholarships. Additionally, we will present community leaders with the Joyce Russell Kente Award. This award recognizes individuals who have shown leadership on issues and matters that affect the community. There are two categories of recognition: Community Leadership and the Alumni Award. The Community Leadership award highlights an individual who has made significant contributions to the community. The Alumni Award highlights a USF alumnus or alumna who has made significant contributions to the community. Past recipients of the Kente Awards include Justice Peggy Quince, Vincent Jackson (posthumously), Chloe Coney, Honorable Ed Narain and Attorney Arthenia Joyner, to name a few.

To help us prepare for the celebration, we ask for your support.
