Who We Are
The master’s level USF Athletic Training Program prepares students for successful careers as athletic trainers, educated and experienced in the management of sports-related health-care problems.
Students undergo an intensive and continual six-semester, 24-month program, with clinical experiences included across the curriculum. All clinical experiences include immersive periods, where students have no didactic responsibilities for weeks at a time and are fully integrated into their assigned clinical settings for that rotation.
Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, the program’s graduates establish successful careers as athletic trainers in secondary schools, colleges and universities, professional sports programs, sports medicine clinics, and other athletic health-care settings.
The USF Athletic Training Program is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023!
What We Do
The Athletic Training Pack and Patch Campaign provides students who are starting the program this summer with an alumni-designed athletic training sideline bag. The bags allow fast and easy access to essential tools, such as first aid supplies. With their own sideline bag, students will be ready for the rigorous training they’ll receive during their clinical experiences.
