Who We Are

At the Judy Genshaft Honors College, the University of South Florida’s most accomplished and ambitious students are encouraged to explore, lead and innovate, gaining the skills and experiences needed for meaningful careers and impactful futures.

A vibrant academic community of 2,634 students across campuses in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee, our students find the right fit for their academic and personal goals while embracing our core commitments of healthy humanity, sustainable futures and engaged citizenship. More than one-third of our students are the first in their families to attend college, and we are committed to providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

What We Do

The Judy Genshaft Honors College Order of the Medallion supports key traditions, including the Honors Medallion and Graduation Celebration Ceremonies, along with essential student success initiatives, including funding for academic conference presentations and undergraduate research opportunities.

Your Impact

By joining the Order of the Medallion with a $100 gift, you directly support the success of our students. Your generosity helps provide graduating students with their Honors Medallion and strengthens our ability to offer life-changing opportunities, such as research experiences, conference presentations and scholarships. In recognition of your support, your name will be featured in the honors graduation program, a keepsake for our graduates and their families. Donors of $1,000 or more will also be invited to a special reception hosted by Judy Genshaft Endowed Honors Dean Charles Adams on May 7 at the Judy Genshaft Honors College.

What Your Generosity Will Do

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Judy Genshaft Honors College continues to expand its impact and provide transformative opportunities for students.

In the past year, we completed our first academic year in one of the nation’s premier honors facilities, awarded over $1 million in scholarships and launched residential programming at the new Sarasota-Manatee campus residence hall.

We also welcomed Gulfport Mayor Samuel Henderson as a visiting professor of practice in St. Petersburg, introduced the Wilcox Scholars Program to promote public service, and expanded our study away and study abroad opportunities with new programs in Hawaii, Portugal and Colombia.

Looking ahead, we are excited to launch a research pathway program with VA Health Care in 2025, further strengthening our commitment to student success and community collaboration. Your support makes all of this possible, ensuring that our students have the resources, mentorship and experiences they need to thrive.
