Who We Are
The Support-a-Bull Food Pantry was established on the Sarasota-Manatee campus in fall 2022. Partnering with All Faiths Food Bank, the pantry provides currently enrolled students with supplemental food assistance and toiletry items.
If a student is hungry, it is hard for them to focus on their studies. The mission of the pantry is to address food insecurity by providing supplemental food, nutrition education and resources to any student in need — whatever their situation — in order to ensure their academic success at USF.
Students can drop by and select their groceries or confidentially order online and pick up their orders. The pantry, located in SMC C144 through the Student Success Lounge in the main building, is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Our goal is to make sure that no USF student must choose between buying textbooks or groceries so that no Bull goes hungry or halts their education.
What We Do
As the cost of living rises, more USF students struggle to make ends meet. To ensure no student must make a choice between buying food or staying in college, the Support-a-Bull Food Pantry offers groceries and toiletries to help students when they need it most. We need your help to keep the pantry stocked!
Your Impact
Your financial gift will help ensure the pantry remains stocked with a variety of nutritious nonperishable foods and other items. Ultimately, your gift will help reduce the anxiety from food hardship and hunger by providing free and unlimited access to food for our students in need.
Thanks to the partnership with All Faiths Food Bank, we are able to purchase food at lower prices. Your donation makes an even more significant impact.
When we reach the goal of 25 donors during USF Giving Week, a gift of $2,500 will be unlocked from Dr. Anila Jain, ‘81, who is making a special gift in loving memory of her parents, Kailash and Dr. Mona Jain ‘84. The Jain Family has supported the University of South Florida, especially their hometown Sarasota-Manatee Campus with multiple scholarship endowments and legacy gifts.

What Your Generosity Will Do
Your financial gift to the Support-a-Bull food pantry will help us purchase needed additional inventory beyond what we receive from our generous partner, All Faiths Food Bank.
Additionally, donations are welcome during any business day at the Main Rotunda desk. Food contributions must be nonperishable and free of dents, cannot be expired or opened and must be in original packaging/labeling.
