The Project
We’re preparing students for roles in policy-making, law enforcement, social services, corrections, law and courts, child welfare, victim advocacy, risk management, juvenile justice, residential security, case management, cybercrime and more. When they enter the workforce, our graduates improve our communities' health and safety, and our neighbors' quality of life.

Who We Are
The USF Department of Criminology, within the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, is a nationally ranked program. Established in 1972, the department began offering master's degrees in 1974, and in 1998, it became the second department in Florida to offer a doctoral degree in criminology. Its members are well-respected researchers who have contributed to studying macro- and micro-level models of criminal behavior, victimology, race, violence, juvenile justice, corrections, and radical and green criminology.
