Located in Florida’s #1 media market, we offer internship opportunities and a lively community for career growth. Our students produce award-winning broadcast news shows and engage with professionals through student clubs, enhancing their pathways to success.

Our mission is to serve as a central hub for innovation in the fields of media and communication by offering exceptional education programs and providing hands-on training for our students alongside scholars and industry experts. 

Collaborative programs with industry, community and academic partners create immersive learning experiences, bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world application. 

We aim to elevate The Zimmerman School through collaborations with change-makers in the Tampa Bay media market to: 

• Prioritize student support by facilitating education, experiential learning and international experiences. 
• Invest in faculty recruitment and retention, ensuring a world-class learning environment. 
• Support educational spaces like the Media Innovation Commons and Media Research Center to provide students with cutting-edge facilities for hands-on learning and innovative research.
