Who We Are
The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, located near the county line on U.S. 41, stands at the gateway to two vibrant, growing communities we are proud to call our partners and our home. A new six-story student center and residence hall, which will be home to 200 USF students when it opens in August, marks the first major expansion of our campus since 2006. The building will raise the higher education profile of the region and expand opportunities for student engagement on campus, forever setting aside the notion that USF Sarasota-Manatee is “just a commuter campus.”
What We Do
Attending university can be challenging. From choosing a major and building a community to covering costs. At USF Sarasota-Manatee, many students also struggle to find affordable housing options near campus. These students endure long commutes or work multiple jobs to make ends meet.
This initiative will enable USF Sarasota-Manatee — the only four-year preeminent research university with an academic presence in the area — to provide affordable housing to the next generation of local thought leaders. Research shows that students who live on campus achieve greater academic success and have a higher chance of earning their degree in four years.
Your Impact

Scholarships will relieve financial stress and give all students, including those who are housing insecure, the opportunity to focus on their academic goals and help them graduate on time.
