Who We Are

The University of South Florida's St. Petersburg campus is Pinellas County’s only residential, public Research 1 institution. We’re driven by student success, where every student has the chance to explore different cultures, broaden their perspectives and become global citizens.

USF has established itself as a leader among higher education institutions in access to global learning opportunities for all students, the global diversity of its student body and international research partnerships that produce positive societal outcomes.

Fast Facts:

  • During the 2022-2023 academic year, 102 USF St. Petersburg students participated in study abroad.
  • The most popular study-abroad locations were London, Florence and Paris.
  • The average cost for a semester abroad is $11,250 (this does not include tuition or airfare).

What We Do

The USF St. Petersburg Study Abroad Scholarship supports funding for St. Petersburg campus study-abroad programs that prioritize innovation through research and scholarship, mutually beneficial international partnerships, inbound and outbound student and faculty global mobility, and events and programs that bridge geographical, cultural and political boundaries.

Wendy Baker, USF World Campus Director (St.Pete), and her husband, Jason Hughes, will donate $750 if we hit our goal of 40 donors during Giving Week!

Jason’s company, SAP, will match an additional $750 through their company match program.
