Who We Are
The USF Health Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition team is committed to delivering a full range of highest quality, compassionate, up-to-date, state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary and personalized care for pediatric patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Our patients include infants, college students and everyone in between.
What We Do
When children are diagnosed with a gastrointestinal (GI) disorder, deciding what to feed them can be difficult and overwhelming. A pediatric dietitian can provide support for both the children and their families. Many GI disorders require dietary restrictions and lifestyle changes, especially celiac disease, which requires strictly following a gluten-free diet.
This project seeks to empower families by providing accessible nutrition education led by specialized GI dietitians. Through comprehensive coursework, we aim to equip patients with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their children’s nutrition, helping them to feel better and stay healthy.
