Nathaniel and Barbara Pieper Scholarship
Scholarship Criteria
Full and part-time (preference for full-time) undergraduate students, pursuing any major in any college or campus of USF. This scholarship is for bilingual students (Spanish speaking) with a history of self, parents or guardians working as a migrant farm worker. Student must have graduated from an accredited high school in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Pasco, Hernando or Sarasota County, have demonstrated leadership and community service experience and be the first generation in their family to attend college (defined as neither parent having earned a bachelor's degree). Preference will be given to participants in the Beth-el Farmworker Ministry and/or a past student in the Redlands Christian Migrant Association charter school system.
Requires personal statement and student resume, two letters of recommendation, and a short statement describing involvement in the migrant farm worker community.
