BLN/The Lamar Dawson ‘Dream Big’ Scholarship

The Lamar Dawson "Dream Big" Scholarship was established in 2023 by proud USF alumnus Lamar Dawson. When Dawson, '08 was an undergraduate student, he was actively involved in campus life, serving as an orientation leader, resident assistant and alumni ambassador while studying Communication. Since earning his degree, he's gone on to achieve many of his dreams—like earning two master's degrees, overseeing communications for brands like American Express and Microsoft, becoming a journalist for the TODAY Show and even having his own countdown show on SiriusXM radio. Lamar believes none of this would have been possible without the inside and outside the classroom education he received at USF and the many donors who made it possible for him to attend.
