USF and Truist Foundation to launch smart manufacturing certificate program in East Tampa
The University of South Florida (USF) and Truist Foundation are addressing the talent and workforce needs of the manufacturing industry through an onsite certificate program in East Tampa. To facilitate this multiyear effort that will benefit local residents and small to large manufacturers, Truist Foundation has awarded the University of South Florida Foundation a $684,000 grant, the foundation’s largest gift to the USF Foundation to date.

Record number of donors support University of South Florida during Giving Week
From April 10–14, alumni and friends came together to champion a wide variety of programs, from student scholarships to community health care initiatives. Of the 7,064 Giving Week donors, 1,152 gave to the university for the first time. In total, the USF Foundation received more than $6.6 million during Giving Week.
