We are both avid sports fans, especially of the USF Bulls! In fact, Bulls football is what attracted us to become supporters of USF.

We adopted USF as our school in 1990 when fellow University of Missouri alumnus Jim Leavitt became the first football coach for USF.  And in the same spirit as the USF athletics program mission that is about inspiring excellence in developing the whole person, we wanted to enlarge our fan support by establishing a scholarship. The USFSP Kate Tiedemann College of Business seemed like the perfect place since we both have experienced successful careers in business.

When we heard about the possibility of a new Business School building at USFSP, we thought this would be a great way to help a local student in the same way my wife had been helped through scholarships when she was a student. It was only through scholarships, working and living in a co-op that she was able to attend college, setting the stage for her successful career in merchandising and retail management.  We felt that if we could help another young person go to college this would help repay the critical assistance received.

If we can help a qualified student to attend USFSP and along the way become their friend and encourage success in college and a future career, that would be very rewarding.
