The Project/Challenge

Many College of Arts and Sciences students rely on financial aid and scholarships to help them earn their degrees. As we work to recover from the pandemic, some students continue to feel the impact of the uncertaintity caused by COVID-19. Housing instability and high rates of housing insecurity have exacerbated stress levels, and heightened anxiety and depression among many individuals. This impact on students’ mental health can also take a serious toll on academic performance. Oftentimes, just a few hundred dollars can mean the difference between being able to pay rent or withdrawing from USF altogether. With your support, our goal is to provide these CAS students the funds they need, when they need them, so they can continue pursuing their degree.

Who We Are

The College of Arts and Sciences is the intellectual heart of the University of South Florida. We are a community of teachers and scholars who remain dedicated to creating an environment of learning, discovery and innovation that prepares all of our students to address complex social and scientific problems and enhance the quality of life for people and communities.

Your Impact

Students’ ability to remain healthy, focused, and enrolled in college is a direct result of their ability to obtain access to basic needs. By supporting the USF College of Arts and Sciences Student Success Fund, you can make a life-changing difference in the lives of our students and community. With your help, we can provide creative solutions and strategic partnerships to support students’ basic needs through emergency relief funding.

What Your Gifts Will Do

Students currently facing housing and/or food insecurity, job loss, unexpected medical bills, and utility shutoff will have immediate access to much-needed financial and service aid during this time, enabling them to continue focusing on their course of study and avoid additional obstacles that may inhibit their ability to obtain their degree. As a donor to the College of Arts and Sciences, you make these and other opportunities possible for our community of teachers, learners and problem solvers. Your gifts are a true testament to your belief in USF’s commitment to excellence and student success.

Thanks for Your Support!

It’s because of your kindness and generosity CAS students will receive the support they need, when they need it most.
