Who We Are
The USF College of Public Health's Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree prepares students for leadership positions in both the private and public sectors. It also provides a clinical and community perspective and professional skills. Students develop an understanding of organizational models and management principles applied to health settings, including health-care financial management and economics, quality and performance improvement, health policy and policy analysis, strategic planning and marketing, and health law and ethics.
The program develops students’ knowledge and skills in contemporary management methods and policy decision-making, integrating a population health management approach. Students are prepared for management and leadership positions in health services and related organizations throughout the nation, including hospitals, physician group practices, ambulatory care centers, managed care plans and consulting practices.
It serves academically qualified early to mid-career professionals, including those seeking transition into and advancement within the health-care industry, as well as academically qualified recent graduates of regionally accredited undergraduate programs, or their international equivalent, who have demonstrated leadership.
We aim to be a leading authority in health administration education and health policy and management innovation in Florida, with a growing national reputation.
The Project
Support the Next Generation of Health-Care Leaders
On April 24, the USF College of Public Health will celebrate a milestone for our MHA students. The Pinning Ceremony marks their commitment to the field of health administration and their transition into health-care leadership.
Our MHA students are embarking on a demanding and impactful career path, one that requires dedication, resilience and significant personal investment.
We invite you to invest in their future by supporting the MHA Pinning Ceremony and Program. Your generosity helps celebrate this milestone, fosters pride and belonging, and provides a strong foundation for the next generation of health-care leaders entering the profession.
Make your gift today and send a note of encouragement for your sponsored student via usf.to/MHA or email Beth Ahmedic at betha@usf.edu.
