Who We Are

The University of South Florida is investing in the Sarasota-Manatee community like never before. As construction continues on a new Student Center and Residence Hall to increase access and services, plans are also underway to expand the academic and research mission through a new nursing and STEM complex.

The local economy demands more health care, scientific, technology and business professionals, while students from across the state and beyond desire admission to USF’s top-ranked degree programs in these fields. With its beautiful environment and closely connected community, the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus is uniquely placed to meet this need.

What We Do

A nursing and STEM complex will define the future of the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus by training the next generation of nurses, scientists and other problem solvers. Advanced labs and research facilities will help recruit top faculty to educate students and conduct research that generates new ideas, innovations and jobs that will attract companies.

The impact of this project will reach far beyond just a building. This plan will strengthen the physical and economic resilience of our rapidly growing community.
