Help CBCS Students During COVID-19

Student Need

COVID-19 has drastically changed the lives of our students in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS), making the necessity of merit-based scholarships such as those offered in aging studies, applied behavior analysis, behavioral healthcare, criminology, communication sciences & disorders and social work more important now than ever before. 

High achieving CBCS students depend on generous support in order to fuel their ambitious education and professional endeavors which have been dampened by COVID-19. Consistently high-performing juniors, seniors and graduate students are especially facing challenges that are unexpected and which may seem insurmountable. The college continues to give students the opportunity to participate in field experiences where available while also providing remote instruction, counseling and other support services to students and families during these trying times. However, new financial realities are a source of significant stress and unease for many; unease that can interrupt trajectory toward earning their degree and feeling prepared to enter the workforce.

Your Impact

With the transition to online learning, many academically-driven students are missing the support and camaraderie they receive in a classroom setting. These students, combined with being passionate about their education, also give back to the community through service. This is our way of giving back to them! 

While lack of physical presence may be a barrier right now, we want to remind our students that we are here for them and are invested in their futures. Your gift of any size will be transformative to a junior, senior or graduate Bull within CBCS demonstrating a record of community service.
