New Student Connections

Brock Bjorn is a 2013 graduate of the University of South Florida’s Political Science and International Relations degree programs. He is a proud USF Alumni Association Life Member and works as a Market Research Analyst at USF. During his time as a student at USF, he participated in the Relay for Life, Bulls for Moffitt and served on the Student Alumni Association’s Executive Board. Brock was actively involved with the Orlando alumni chapter and is very passionate about USF Athletics.

Diana De la Cruz is a two-time graduate of USF, completing a bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2012, a Master’s of Science in 2016 and receiving a graduate certificate in Health Sciences in 2015. As a student, Diana was actively involved in the Chi Omega sorority and USF’s Panhellenic Council. She served in many sorority leadership roles, most notably as the Vice President of Recruitment in 2011. She is currently a proud Life Member of the Alumni Association and serves on the Chi Omega, Theta Theta Chapter Housing Corporation, as well as volunteering as an adviser. Diana works as a Physician’s Assistant at BioSpine Institute.

Ron De la Cruz is a 2011 graduate of the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business and proud USF Alumni Association Life Member. During his time at USF, he became a member of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. He is a proud Life Member of the USF Alumni Association. Currently, Ron is a Vice President, Lead Business Analyst at Citi.

Riva is an Urban Planner for Kittelson & Associates, a transportation engineering firm with several offices throughout the country. Riva graduated from USF in 2014, with a bachelor's degree in History and received a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UCF in 2019. Her background in liberal arts and public policy has allowed her to unify expertise across a diverse set of technicians in a STEM field. Within engineering, Riva works directly with engineers, designers, and drafting staff to form solutions that are context-sensitive and tailored to a community’s needs. Before engineering, Riva spent five years in higher education as a college counselor and continues to work with students at the graduate and undergraduate levels to navigate careers in planning and consulting. While at USF, Riva spent a year playing trumpet in the Herd of Thunder Marching band and has proudly been a devoted USF fan through the good, the bad, and the ugly (at least since 2011). She was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity and discovered a love for rowing while an undergraduate student.

Christopher Griffin is a proud graduate of the University of South Florida class of 2017 and a USF Alumni Association Life Member. During his time at USF, Griffin became a founding father of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, served as an orientation leader, served on the USF Board of Trustees and served as the student body president. After graduation, Griffin received his master's of public administration from Texas A&M University and works for the city of St. Petersburg as a budget management analyst.
