The Mosaic Pantry at Feed-A-Bull Tampa

Who We Are  ​​​​ ​​​​​

The Mosaic Pantry at Feed-A-Bull Tampa has distributed a total of 215,000 pounds of food to students, with 55,7000 pounds during the 2023-2024 academic year alone! Students' need continues to grow as the cost of groceries, housing and other expenses keeps increasing in the Tampa Bay area. With approximately 250 food-insecure USF students visiting the pantry each week, we are regularly challenged to keep enough inventory. We need your help!

What We Do

If a student is hungry, it is hard for them to focus on their studies. The Mosaic Pantry at Feed-A-Bull Tampa was created to ensure student success by alleviating food hardship and hunger among currently enrolled students on the USF Tampa campus. By providing supplemental food assistance, as well as nutrition education and resources related to purchasing and preparing balanced meals on a budget, the pantry strives to ensure students do not have to choose between buying textbooks or buying groceries and that no USF student will go hungry.

Your Impact

Your financial gift will help ensure the pantry is stocked with a variety of nutritious foods and allow us to operate more efficiently to assist any student in need.

Thanks to a partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay, we are able to purchase food at lower prices. Your donation brings an even more significant impact.

A challenge match of $5,000 from The Mosaic Company to support the pantry will be unlocked if we are able to hit our goal of 100 donors.

What Your Generosity Will Do

Your support of the Mosaic Pantry at Feed-A-Bull Tampa will help us purchase additional food beyond what we receive from our generous partner Feeding Tampa Bay and possibly replace old shelving and the pantry computer.

We need your help to keep our shelves stocked so our food-insecure students can worry less about their next meal and concentrate on their studies. 

Additionally, non-perishable, non-expired food donations are welcomed all year around, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. (with the exception of university holidays) in the Student Service Center SVC 0002. Find more info at usf.edu/feedabull. 

Items in highest demand: canned fruit, pasta, rice, canned tuna, canned chicken and cereal.
