Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic

Who We Are

In support of our vision to be the aspirational leader in nursing education, research, and practice, the USF Health College of Nursing is launching the Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic. This mobile health unit, supported by a four-year grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), allows us to provide primary care in critically underserved areas across Tampa Bay. Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic staff includes two advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), who treat patients in our 38’ mobile health unit, complete with two exam rooms, a restroom, and a refrigerator/freezer, which allows for safe vaccine storage. Our unit serves as a clinical training site for undergraduate and graduate nursing students, and rotation opportunities are available to interprofessional teams of USF Health students. This project is guided by a carefully curated community advisory board of leaders representing healthcare, humanitarian, and public safety communities across our service areas.

What We Do

Many people in the U.S. are unable to receive health care because it is not accessible or available nearby. Mobile health clinics can improve health care delivery by reaching people where they live and where they work. These clinics can also play a key role in preparing future health care providers by creating and expanding experiential learning opportunities. These opportunities include providing high-quality culturally sensitive care in community-based settings, identifying and understanding social determinants of health in local communities and facilitating a collaborative team approach to care.
