WLP/Laura Sherman Endowed Scholarship
To support scholarships offered by the Women in Leadership and Philanthropy Program. This scholarship is for full or part-time students at all academic levels, in the Muma College of Business. Preference for financial need and is renewable up to 8 semesters. Preference for students who are pursuing a Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) major or minor. In the event a qualifying recipient is not available, the following criteria will be used:
* The student has successfully completed at least 2 RMI classes and is an active member of Gamma Iota Sigma student organization (the international professional fraternity that promotes, encourages, and sustains student interest in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science as professions)
* or student has completed an internship in the area of risk management and insurance and is an active member of Gamma Iota Sigma student organization (the international professional fraternity that promotes, encourages, and sustains student interest in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science as professions).
* Preference for students involved in issues impacting women and/or who plan to pursue a career focused on issues that impact women.
