WLP/Florida Blue Leadership in Healthcare Scholarship
To support scholarships offered by the Women in Leadership and Philanthropy Program. This scholarship is for full-time students, at all academic levels, pursuing all health majors (including prerequisites) except for nursing, in all colleges, on the Tampa campus. This scholarship is based on merit with a preference for financial need and can be awarded 2 semesters. Preference for a student who demonstrates volunteer leadership at the BRIDGE Clinic, the Tampa Bay Street, and/or other USF Health-affiliated programs that provide healthcare to disadvantaged populations. A one-page personal statement/essay should be provided by the applicant that speaks to their volunteer experiences and their perception of the importance of healthcare professionals providing pro-bono services to benefit the underserved/uninsured/underinsured in our communities.
