Naida and John Ramil Courtyard Dedication

Dec. 7, 2023

The Naida and John Ramil Courtyard at the Sam and Martha Gibbons Alumni Center was dedicated on Dec. 5, 2023, in honor of two of the university’s most generous donors. The Ramils have made a lasting impact on USF through their leadership, service and philanthropy. John Ramil, Engineering '78 and MCE '00 served as a trustee for 20 years, the longest tenure in Florida, and was named a distinguished USF alumnus in 1999.

He and his wife, Naida, Education '89, have donated millions of dollars to support various USF programs and initiatives, including the USF College of Engineering and the USF Judy Genshaft Honors College. The Ramil Courtyard is a beautiful space celebrating their legacy and showcasing their dedication to our university.
