USF Sarasota-Manatee faculty & Staff Scholarship

The effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have been felt among USF Sarasota-Manatee campus students, faculty and staff alike. Many Sarasota-Manatee campus students, two-thirds of whom work at least 25 hours per week, have experienced job losses and had their hours cut, jeopardizing their ability to pay for school. 

Faculty and staff have lost funding and opportunities for continuing education and professional development. Trips, hotels and flights were canceled for the year and those who prepared research presentations, or registered for a conference, lost these opportunities. Such important work is part of the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus vision statement and solidifies the university's commitment to retain quality researchers, professors and well-trained staff. 

The USF Sarasota-Manatee Faculty & Staff Scholarship provides professional development support for employees and scholarships for students. It is open to all faculty and staff and to students attending the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus either full or part time, in all majors, all colleges, at all levels, including those who have experienced hardships resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
