Renee Mulder Strategic Fund for Social Work Students

The Project

To honor the memory of Renee Mulder, a passionate former social worker, we encourage you to support Field Programs in the School of Social Work, which assist undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a bachelor’s in social work (BSW) and/or master’s in social work (MSW) with expenses associated with hands-on training and field placement. Our Director of Field Education, Teri Simpson, is retiring after 10 years of service to the School of Social Work. Renee was her dear friend and Terri has asked that in celebration of her retirement that gifts be made to the Renee Mulder Strategic Fund for Social Work Students.  

Who We Are

The USF School of Social Work prepares graduates to achieve excellence as professionals and leaders in social work practice, research and education in addition to maintaining a commitment to promoting social and economic justice, human rights, human dignity, scientific inquiry, and sustainable human and community wellbeing for all. Social work is providing leadership, advocacy and service related to social justice and the development of new social structures to address important issues such as racism, mental health, trauma and poverty.

The Impact

Gifts made in memory of Renee will help perpetuate her love for service and child welfare by supporting students who have made social work their passion and career. By helping to lessen their financial burden, Social Work students, both present and future, can focus on giving back to the communities they serve.

What Your Gifts Will Do

Help support the operating expenses, training, field placement and awards for undergraduate and graduate students in the bachelor’s in social work (BSW) and master’s in social work (MSW) Field Programs in the School of Social Work.
