The Project
The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement (CLCE) is seeking to engage with solution focused, like-minded individuals and agencies who can elevate our civic engagement and leadership development work via their time, talent and financial support. By 2023, we intend to be regarded as a national best-practice center for leadership development and civic engagement among AAU-aligned, metropolitan, global research universities.
As a national model, the CLCE will be content experts and community connectors in support of the USF and Tampa Bay communities' leadership and civic engagement initiatives.
Who We Are
The CLCE trains, educates and develops USF students to become effective, ethical and positively engaged leaders among the global community. Our staff members pride themselves on being nimble, dynamic and flexible thinkers and educators. This skillset is being leveraged as we re-imagine online and remote service opportunities, virtual connection for student organizations and leadership development opportunities during COVID-19.
Some key initiatives include:
- Stampede of Service (Charge)
- Civic learning and democratic engagement initiatives
- Emerging Leaders Institute
- Lunchtime Leadership Series
Our office also facilitates leadership consulting, student organization support, Leadership Studies minor and the Celebration of Leadership Awards during which the university presents the Golden Bulls Awards. Our values uphold our mission.
