Florida 10 for 10 Scholarship Initiative
Purpose
Since 2017, Florida has ranked #1 in U.S. News & World Report rankings for higher education. To celebrate this milestone, each of the 12 state universities in Florida will be providing 10 $1,000 scholarships to undergraduate students! Learn more below for application criteria and official rules.

Essay Requirements
Written essays and video essays must be in English, must be the student’s own original work, and must be created solely by the student without the use of artificial intelligence.
Written Essay
- Must be in English.
- Must be the student’s own original work.

- Must not use artificial intelligence.
- Must be 500 words or less.
Video Essay
- Must be in English.
- Must be the student’s own original work.
- Must be created solely by the student.
- Must not use artificial intelligence.
- Must be no more than 2 minutes in length.
- Must be no larger than 1 GB.
- Accepted file formats: MP4, MPG, and MOV.
Written essays and video essays must be the exclusive property of the student alone.
Timeline
Application window: July 13-Oct. 2, 2026
Winners notified: Oct. 7-30, 2026
Award: $1,000 scholarship (10 recipients total) applied to Spring 2027 financial aid
