The Case for Support
The University of South Florida College of Nursing is on the move. Our nurses are leaders in translational research, moving developments in nursing science to patients and changing the face of health care in Tampa Bay and around the world.
Complex Health Answers Made Possible (CHAMPS)
The Complex Health Answers Made Possible program focuses on research for illnesses such as Alzheimer’s Disease, diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, and other chronic diseases facing our population. CHAMPs applies the research expertise of USF’s nursing scientists to address the physical, social and behavioral effects of chronic illness on patients and their families and caregivers. Your support will allow USF to continue its life-changing research and programs for the chronically ill.
INFORM at USF Nursing
Through the Institute for Nursing Faculty Recruitment, Retention and Mentoring (INFORM), the USF College of Nursing is addressing the nursing shortage by preparing the faculty needed to educate them. Conservatively, one USF nursing faculty member can impact the nursing care of 108 million patients through the students they teach. The need for new nursing faculty is now at an all-time high and expected to grow in the next decade.
RESTORE LIVES Center
The Center for Education and Research to Rehabilitate and Restore the Lives of Veterans, Service Members, and Families provides physical and emotional support for those who defend our nation. Through your financial help the RESTORE LIVES Center develops life-enhancing treatments through nursing research and education designed to serve the specific needs of veterans and service members.
POWER with Nursing
Partnership Opportunities for Wellness, Education and Research (POWER) helps doctoral students collaborate with hospitals, pursue cross-disciplinary research grants, and practice in interprofessional teams to gain knowledge of wellness issues locally and around the world. Your support will help us expand research residencies and expand our global and interprofessional opportunities.
